How to suspend or unsuspend a client account

Suspending an account takes a client's site and email offline temporarily without deleting anything — useful for non-payment or policy issues.

Suspend an account

  1. Log in to WHM and search for Manage Account Suspension.
  2. Select the account and add an optional reason (the client may see this).
  3. Click Suspend.

Unsuspend

On the same screen, select the suspended account and click Unsuspend — the site and email come straight back, with all data intact.

Tips

  • Suspension is reversible; termination deletes the account and data, so use it carefully.
  • If you bill clients through WHMCS, suspensions can happen automatically for overdue invoices.
