How to change your email password

It's good practice to change your mailbox password regularly, or right away if you think it's been compromised.

Change it in cPanel

  1. Log in to cPanel and, under Email, click Email Accounts.
  2. Find the address and click Manage.
  3. Under Security, enter a new password (strong and unique) and click Update Email Settings.

Update your devices

After changing it, update the password everywhere you check that mailbox — your phone, Outlook, or other apps — or they'll stop connecting and show login errors.

Forgotten the cPanel login too?

Reset your cPanel password from your client area, or open a ticket and we'll help you regain access.
