Getting started with BPHOST: your first steps

Welcome to BPHOST! This quick guide covers your first steps after signing up, so you can get online with confidence.

1. Log in to your client area

Sign in to your client area with the email address and password you chose at signup. This is your home base for services, invoices, domains and support.

2. Find your account details

When your hosting is provisioned we email you a welcome message with your server name, cPanel username and password, and your nameservers. Keep it safe — you'll use these details to log in to cPanel and to point your domain.

3. Open cPanel

cPanel is where you manage files, email, databases and more. Open it straight from the client area: Services → your hosting package → Login to cPanel. The cPanel category in this knowledgebase has step-by-step guides for common tasks.

4. Point your domain

If you registered your domain with us, it already points to your hosting. If it's registered elsewhere, update its nameservers to the ones in your welcome email. DNS changes usually take a few hours to propagate.

5. Build your website

You can install WordPress in a few clicks, upload your own site, or use the website builder. See the WordPress and Web Hosting categories to get going.
