Managed vs unmanaged servers explained
When you order a VPS or dedicated server, you'll choose between managed and unmanaged. Here's the difference so you can pick what suits you.
Unmanaged
You get the raw server and full control — and full responsibility. You handle the operating system, updates, security, control panel, backups and troubleshooting. Best if you (or your team) are comfortable with server administration.
Managed
We take care of the heavy lifting — setup, security patches, monitoring, and help when things go wrong — so you can focus on your sites. Best if you'd rather not deal with the command line.
Which is right for me?
- Comfortable with Linux and SSH? Unmanaged can save money.
- Want peace of mind and expert support? Managed is the way.
