How to install WordPress

WordPress is the most popular way to build a website, and you can install it in a few clicks from cPanel using Softaculous.

Install with Softaculous

  1. Log in to cPanel and find Softaculous Apps Installer (or the WordPress icon).
  2. Click WordPress, then Install Now.
  3. Choose your domain and leave the directory blank to install at your main address.
  4. Set your site name, an admin username (avoid "admin") and a strong password, then add your email.
  5. Click Install.

After installing

Softaculous shows your site address and admin login link (yourdomain.co.za/wp-admin). Save these details — from there you can pick a theme and start adding pages. Need a hand? Open a support ticket.
